This piece just screams  Old West . Outside of having a great look it’s also got some great history. The backstrap inscription U.P.P.R. Co’s Express has considerable wear but is still readable . The visible serial numbers all match and the action is smooth and crisp .  The original barrel has been cut down from 8″ to 5″ during it’s period of use. .  This pistol was the property of the Union Pacific Railroad Express Co. and carried by a guard during one of the most dangerous periods in the company’s history , as train robbing was becoming fairly common in the old West.  A truly historic piece of  the American West !
