This is one of the best looking Cowboy Colts I've ever offered for sale. It is in excellent condition retaining 85-90% of it's original factory nickel finish with the remainder blending nicely. The etched panel is all there and the bore is mint. The pistol exhibits one of the best set of early thick pearl Texas Longhorn grips I've ever seen on a Colt. It was manufactured in 1881 and all the serial numbers match. It has a correct .44 on the bottom of barrel and on the trigger guard flat. The owner has scratched his initials BB on the bottom of the butt and backstrap. The action is as smooth as the day it left the factory. It will come with this wonderful hand tooled Texas holster from the turn of the century .
