A Sheffield  Bowie knife by James Rogers.  The Clip point  blade is 6 1/2′  and is still razor sharp . It exhibits a well patinaed   5 1/4″ Horsehead ivory handle with appropriate age lines. The scalloped cross guard and the grip escutcheon are silver as is the scabbard which is tarnished to a black patina.  A very attractive dress Bowie Knife.
