This is one of the most beautiful pieces I’ve ever owned. I beleive this pistol’s origins is from middle Europe( Austrian-German). The carving on the stock is one of the best I’ve seen. Also the chisled lock is outstanding. The two stage barrel has some delicate silver inlay. The silver furniture is quite beautiful and is missing some on the trigger guard and the wrist escutheon is gone. I personally would not replace any of the missing silver as it doesn’t detract from the overall pistol. Even retains it’s original horn tip ramrod. A nice addition to any 18th century collection.
