I've had this neat relic in my personal collection for over 15+ years. It was formally in Tom Wnuck's great collection of F & I War items. The knife is obviously in Relic condition.  Ft. Herkimer was built in 1740 and was the scene of  action in both the French & Indian War and the Rev.War. In 1757 & again in 1758 it's troops were called on to defend German Flatts from the French.  In 1778 during the Rev. War it's troops were called on again to defend German Flatts this time from the British and the Onondaga Indians.
