This rare “Fantail” hat is made of Beaver fur and is in great shape.  The  makers label “R.P.Kenyon & Co., Hartford ,Conn.” inside the dome is in very good shape.  The hat overall has the usual wear associated with something this old but is all there. I don’t know what the Eagle and the front ribbon represent but with further research I don’t beleive that will be hard to find out.  All in all a really nice hat that is very hard to find these days.
