A very difficult Colt to find and most advanced Colt Collections are lacking one of these. The pistol is in very good condition for one of these as most I’ve seen are pretty used up. This pistol has been cleaned but is starting to patina back up.  All the serial numbers match except for the wedge which is correct but unnumbered. The serial  #331 would make this a first year production (1850).  It has the classic wedge over the screw which was only on the first models.  The action works fine and locks up tight.  The cylinder scene is super with about 90% + still visible.  The grips fit nicely and are unmarred. A great pistol rarely offered for sale.
