A pretty rare F & I War dated item. The tin itself is identified as belongng to ” Alexander Collingwood 1759″. A quick google search shows he was Sheriff of Northumberland, England. The document that was in the tin when acquired will come with it. It is dated 1780 and basically pertains to raising a Militia of able bodied men in Northumberland. There is British coat of Arms on the top of the tin. The overall length is 11 1/4″ with a width of 2″.
