This rifle certainly has a great Frontier look to it. It’s .54 cal. rifled barrel is 45"long with a Buckhorn rear sight and missing it’s front sight. I would imagine this rifle shot on a straight trajectory for a mile and was a real prize in it’s day. The forestock has has two hide repairs which are very attractive and done during it’s period of use. Where the makers name would be on the barrel is covered by one of the hide wrappings. Full stocked Rocky Mountain rifles are very rare and this one has it all. Totally ,untouched and right out of the woods.
