This is a truly outstanding Indian used pistol. At one time it was decorated with 48 squire shanked tacks and now has 7 remaining . The design on the trigger guard finial appears to be a Turtle shell. The overall condition is typical Indian hard use. At one time the stock handle had a piece of rawhide through it . Interestingly , the action still works . This model is the first percussion pistol to get a government contract. It's lock is signed U.S-H. Aston-Middtn-Conn-1849. This is one of the best Indian pistols I've ever offered for sale.
