This pair of Colts were mfg. in 1880 . As with most pairs, one almost always has more use than the other. This is true with this set. Serial #26341 is pretty minty showing almost no use and still retains 98% of it’s orig.nickle and fireblue on the back of the hammer and trigger. Serial# 26939 has seen more use retaining about 80% of it’s orig. cloudy nickle finish and 80% of it’s fireblue behind the hammer but none on the trigger. The double holster form fitting rig is custom made for these pistols. It is designed to be worn with the gun butts facing forward. I would assume that this set was worn by a Lawman or a Outlaw as this outfit was designed for someone who meant business.
