This musket has certainly seen some heavy service. It's had many modification to include bushing the touch hole (common fix after much firing the touch hole would enlarge) replacing the ramrod and a iron band install to secure the barrel to the stock.   These 3rd model Brown Bess' saw service from the late 1770's  through the first quarter of the 19th century. The musket has some indiscernible stampings on the right buttstock and the toe is worn away. Also, the markings are partially indiscernible on the buttplate tang.  However, I can make out  H/71  which stands for Co.H  71 Regt.  This musket would have saw service in the War of 1812 and the Napoleonic War with France.  The 71st. Reg. was at the  Battle of Waterloo .
