This pistol has a very attractive untouched chocolate brown patina. The cylinder scene appears to be all there under this heavy patina and would really come to life with some very careful cleaning. The serial numbers all match including the grips. The right grip has remnants of a cartouche. Also the condition of the grips is very good for a early dragoon that would have seen both the California Gold Rush and the Civil War. The action is still very crisp. At one time in it’s period of use a rear sight was added. One of the better Colt Dragoons I’ve owned in recent years.
