1873 Colt U.S inspected by Henry Nettleton in 1878. The pistol is in really good shape with crisp markings and all the proper H.N markings including the hammer and barrel bottom. The bore is relatively good with very good rifling and the dated (1878) grips really set the gun off. All the finish is gone and has been replaced by a blue-brown patina. Also , the action cycles and locks up tight. Nice U.S Colt S/A’s from the 1870’s are getting quite scarce.
