This pistol really has a great western look. It has a nickel plated finish of which about 60-70% remains. The pistol is in .44-40 cal. and has a 5 1/2" barrel.   It's engraved and exhibit's the neatest pair of pearl grips I've ever seen on a Colt. The grips are of the early thick design that was used only in the early 1880's. They're actually raised carved on both sides with the image of a Standing Horse (Colt). The right grip has a period repair held in place by 3 silver pins which is quite attractive.  The action works properly and all the visible serial numbers match. As per the serial number (83512) this pistol was mfg'd in 1882.
