This ’73 Colt is a rare pistol indeed.  It’s one of the few that has both Ainsworth & Casey inspected parts.  Also, it’s a Colt buy- back with the classic .45 cal on the trigger guard flat and nickel plating.  I’ve included a copy’s of pages from Kopec’s book "A study on the Colt Single Actions" on these rare pistols in my picture section. But the most unique part is the factory letter where they refer to "Govt. Sale" under special notation. I’ve never seen this before. The pistol has all matching serial numbers and 30% of it’s original factory nickel.  The action works fine and locks up tight. Truly a real Colt rarity.
