A good looking American take- down Fowler with a patriotic "Independence" engraved on it’s wrist escutcheon. The lock is mfg. by T. Ketland and Co. and is in it’s original Flintlock configuration. The wood is outstanding and was made as a original take-down as it’s all the same piece of wood. On the wood around the barrel tang there’s a beautiful carving reminescent of the Hills family of Goshen ,Ct. . The engraving on the brass furniture is top quality . A really beautiful and rare 18th Century Fowler.
