This early Blunderbuss is a beautiful untouched piece with an unbridled pan and is new to the collecting fraternity. It was put away many many years ago. The whole gun has a great patina to it. I doubt if the lock has ever been out of it,even retains it’s original ramrod. The lock is signed Wheeler and the sideplate is of the Sergeants pattern. The iron barrel is British proofed and is 24"long.The O/A length of the piece is 40".
