A really superior British military Blunderbuss.  It's lock is signed and dated 1759 by Grice.  It also has the Crown and Broad Arrow which designates military ownership.  The bulbus trigger guard finial and buttplate (7 squire head nails)  are of those issued to the Navy.  This gun has one of the most beautitful patina's I've ever seen.  The 16 3/4" cannon barrel has British proof marks and the early feature of  the hold down screw entering from the bottom..  All the lock functions are crisp and tight.  A wonderful looking French & Indian War weapon.
