Absolutely beautful! There’s no other way to describe this rifle. The carvings are some of the best I’ve ever seen and the chiseled gold washed furniture is superb. The barrel is damascus and was bored to buck and ball probabily at the time of it conversion from Flintlock to the percussion system.  It looks like this was done by the original maker as the engraving on the  Wolf’s Head  hammer is the same as the original lock.  I don’t know who M.Fischer was but he did exceptional work and was a true master of his craft. When you look at this work of art you really can see the linneage of the American Kentucky Rifle. The gun is untouched and retains a lovely patina.
