This is one of the better Indian Rifles for sale on the market today. The gun started life as a rifle and was altered to carbine length. The stock has been shaved to lighten it and has a rich weathered patina. The stock is heavily worn from being carried across the horse’s neck. The butt plate was purposely removed in true Indian fashion. Many of them were sharpened and used as hide scrappers. I’ve had this wonderful piece in my personal collection since 2002.
