This is a good example of a American â€‹captured and stocked Rev.War musket. The lock has purposely had it's Tower stamp filed off. It's a good reconversion using the proper period parts. The 41 1/2" barrel exhibits two early British proof marks on the top of the barrel along with a sighting groove filed in the breech which is a feature you'll find on most American used â€‹ Rev War Longarms. The bayonet lug on the top of the barrel has been filed down. The brass butt tang is regimentally marked 21/4. A nice example of a Rev.War American Patriot  carried musket.
