This is a good example of a American captured and stocked Rev.War musket. The lock has purposely had it's Tower stamp filed off. It's a good reconversion using the proper period parts. The 41 1/2" barrel exhibits two early British proof marks on the top of the barrel along with a sighting groove filed in the breech which is a feature you'll find on most American used Rev War Longarms. The bayonet lug on the top of the barrel has been filed down. The brass butt tang is regimentally marked 21/4. A nice example of a Rev.War American Patriot carried musket.
