For starters , I’m not a watch collector . I know very little about pocket watches but love this watch.  I had a expert take a look at it and he told me it was a  Fusee .  The silver case is engraved with a early image of  U.S. Grant  with a long beard .  This would date it as early Civil War. Grant appears  behind a cannon barrel which has a ribbon wrapped around it with Grant  on it. . The silver case has the number 92 on the inside of the front cover and 993 on the back cover.  The watch comes with it’s original winding  key and chain.  The watch still functions.
