This Colt was mfg. in London in 1855.  It very well may have made it back to America during the Civil War as Colt closed his London plant in 1856 and bought all his stock back to Harford.  Also the English were running guns to the Confederacy through the blockades. The pistol still has one chamber loaded and the hammer is frozen going to full cock. So it's safe to assume that whoever fired it last got off 4 shots before going down. The cylinder can be turned by hand but everything else is frozen including the loading lever. All visible serial numbers match (5207).  The pistol was certainly exposed to the elements for awhile but the grips are pretty good with the exception of a missing toe on the left grip. All in all a nice Civil War 'Relic'
