This wonderful relic Colt still has 4 chambers loaded and capped. Who ever the original owner was he managed to get off two shots. There's little doubt that this pistol went down while in action. The two visible serial numbers are #26339. This indicates the pistol was manufactured in 1852 which was at the height of the California Gold Rush. The action and rammer are frozen solid. Yet the grips which are original to the pistol are in pretty good shape for a relic.
