This is a good looking all matching serial number Navy Colt mfg. in 1856. The backstrap is period inscribed "C.G. Pearson" .  Also this pistol comes with a great southern form fitting flap holster.  Sgt. Pearson enlisted in the 9th Fla.on 5/14/62. He also served some time in the Confederate Navy. He fought in 85 battles including Antietam, Gettysburg, Cold Harbor and Petersburg.  The pistol is in pretty good shape with some minor roughness on the barrel from sitting in the holster. Florida  identified Confederate items are almost impossible to find . This outfit is new to the market and was found by a picker in Northern Florida.
