One of the best western outfits I’ve ever offered for sale. The pistol is all matching serial #101976 with a very rare 2 line barrel address which is seldom seen on a 5 1/2″ barrel.  It retains 70% nickle finish overall . The Texas Longhorn  pearl grips are spectacular with a wonderful aged patina.   The money/cartridge belt is the product of J.C. Collins of Cheyenne, Wy. with a hand tooled unmarked double loop holster.  The pistol was shipped to Hartley & Graham, New York, N.Y on June 18, 1885.  Hartley & Graham were distributers to many of  the dealers & wholesalers on the western frontier which would have been where the carved pearl grips were added. The pistol and rig were owned  by Fleetwood B. Jackson   who was born in 1865 in Hardin , Ohio  and migrated west as a young man to Wyoming and Montana where he worked as a cowboy and everntually established a ranch in Montana.  He was killed in an accident on his ranch in 1915 . The great outfit will come with a file containing his obituary, death certificate, many pictures including him on his ranch, at his wedding , in a cowboy hat taken at Grabill studio in Deadwood & Sturgis , Dakota Terr. etc.
