I sold this great carbine a number of years ago and was just able to acquire again. This 1873 carbine is all original with no upgrades. The serial #34737 is right in the middle of the second grouping that Custer received. The gunstock shows evidence of being exposed to the the elements and has developed a beautiful aged patina. The sling bar along with it’s noisy ring , which was of no use to a Indian , has been cut off . The weathered stock still exhibits a couple of visible cartouches. I’ve done my best to take some good pictures that should answer any questions but feel free to call if you want any further pictures of certain area’s. This Indian captured carbine may very well have been at the Battle of the Little Big Horn.
