This is a really handsome outfit . These Vest Pocket Derringers were from mfg. 1865-1888.  Actually, this period cased set fits very nicely in the inside pocket of a Sports coat. The pistol itself is quite beautiful with crisp gold washed engraving.  Much of the gold wash is still visible in the engraving grooves.  The ivory grips have a great looking American Eagle which has a crack but is still solid. The action works well. The case itself has a leather exterior with gold trim and the interior is red velour on the bottom and with what I believe is silk on the lid.  The outfit comes with it’s original cleaning tool and 51 .22 cal. cartridges.  A great addition to any gunroom.
