This rare 8" Colt Dragoon is in really fine condition.  The pistol retains a beautiful blue-brown patina and the cyl. appears to still have a scene under the patina. The serial # 18709 matches on all the parts with the exception of the wedge which is #18742.  My guess is this pistol was sold as one of a pair and #18742 has a wedge numbered #18709.  A typical cleaning and reassemling mix up. The 8" barrel bore is still shiney with very good rifling.  Also the action is crisp and tight.  This is a really rare Colt with less than 100  manufactured . It’s safe to assume that there’s less than 25 of these in existance today and this is the nicest one I know of for sale right now.
