This pistol has 3 1/2" .45 cal barrel which is period inscribed J.H. Huddle -Paris, Texas. James H. Huddle of Paris, Texas was 19 years old when he enlisted in the 9th Texas Infantry Co.A on Sept.26,1861 . After the Battle of Shiloh he's listed as being in the Columbus, Miss. hospital where he died on June 28,1862. The pistol is in very good shape with a crisp action. The stock is in wonderful condition with crisp checkering and no repairs. A great piece of Texas history carried by a Confederate Soldier who gave up his life for Texas.
