This wonderful relic comes from one of the most historic places of both the French & Indian War and the American Revolution.  The still attached old tag states  " One of a number of spears from a trench on the Mungen farm through who's property……. of the old French lines constructed…….. the siege of Ft. Ticondoroga or Carillon as it was called during the Wars.  The spear along with other implements of war were discovered while ditching for field drainage was taking place in 1907. There discovery created quite a stir among local historians." The overall length is  18 1/4" while the blade is 9 1/4" L x 2" W.  Rare opportunety to own a documented piece of Ft. Ticonderoga  history.
