​This one of the nicer mdl.1859 Sharps rifle's I've owned . It's serial number 57615 put's it right in the Berdan Sharps Shooters and Pa. Bucktail range. The action works fine and the bore is beautiful with sharp rifling and a nice shine. The outline of the cartouche is present but can't make out the initials. Overall the rifle has a beautiful untouched patina. There's a very minor stress line on the butt stock toe which is solid. The wood to metal fit is very good and the edges are sharp. A very attractive Civil War Sharpshooter Rifle.
