A really beautiful Mohawk Valley Fowler of the pre American Revolution period.  This classic piece is 69 1/2" O/A with a British proofed 53" barrel.  It exhibits 3 ribbed barrel ramrod pipes in the classic Hudson Valley style . The lock is marked Brown and functions properly.  The stock is in super shape with no replaced wood. These upstate New York fowlers saw some of the bloodiest fighting in the Revolution.  A perfect piece to decorate over a large fireplace.
