This wonderful pistol is a special ordered gun and is of exhibition grade . It was manufactured in 1863 the middle of the Civil War. All the serial numbers (21545) match including the special order grips which are ink numbered on their inside channel . The engraving is factory and appears to be the work of Gustav Young. The serial numbers have a P indicating special finish. The frame and grip frame are silver plated. The barrel , loading lever , cylinder and hammer are gold washed over the silver . The gold washed loading lever latch spring is weak. The left grip have a age crack which is solid and stable. The pistol has age related dings ,nicks and abrasions but overall has a great look. A very rare pistol with four special factory features.
